Terms of Service

Mandala Layers Studio is a product of Laser Creations Shop LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the studio you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.

Your account

You need an account to use the studio on the website, and to buy the Windows app. Keep your credentials to yourself, tell us if they are compromised, and do not share one account between people. You must be 16 or older.

Plans and payment

The Studio plan is billed monthly or yearly in advance and renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part of a period.

A free trial gives you Studio for 3 days, with no card. If you choose to keep Studio during the trial, your card is saved and the first payment is taken on the day the trial would have ended, or two days after you choose if that is later. If you choose nothing, the account moves to Pay as you go when the trial ends and nothing is charged. One trial per person.

If we change prices we will tell you at least 30 days before it affects your renewal, and you are free to cancel rather than accept it.

Credits

• Credits are spent on generating an AI picture and, on Pay as you go, on the first build of each new picture into layers (250 credits). Rebuilding a picture you have already paid to build is free, and builds are included on Studio. Nothing else in the studio consumes them.
• Older plans that include a monthly allowance of credits add it at the start of each billing period. Unused allowance carries over for one month and then expires. Spending draws on the allowance before credits bought in packs, so only allowance still unused expires.
• Extra credits can be bought in packs: 1,500 for $15.00, 2,500 for $20.00, 3,500 for $26.00. Credits bought in packs do not expire. Credit packs are not refundable, whether or not the credits have been spent.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and are forfeited if we close your account for breach of these terms.
• If a generation or a build fails through our fault or the provider’s, we put the credits back.
• On Pay as you go, you may ask for the credits a build cost back within 14 days of the build, once per build, from the studio or your account page. We look at the project and decide each request; a refund returns those credits to your balance and is not a payment to your card. Building the same picture again after a refund is charged as a new build.

The Windows app

Mandala Layers for Windows is the studio as a program on your own PC, bought once. This section is about the app alone; plans and credits on the website are covered by the sections above.

• A licence key is $199, paid once. Buying one needs an account here, and the key belongs to that account.
• One key works on up to 3 PCs at a time. To move it, deactivate it in the app on the old PC, or free a PC that is gone from your account page. Freeing PCs yourself is limited to a few a month; past that, ask us and we free them for you.
• A key includes every update we release for version 1 of the app (1.x), new features and bug fixes alike, at no further charge. There is nothing to renew, and nothing charges by itself.
• A later major version of the app - 2.0 or after - may be sold as a paid upgrade, priced when it is released. It installs and works with your key: everything in version 1 (all the app has before 2.0) keeps working in it, with every fix, though how things look and work may change, and installing a later version never takes away anything your key includes. The app and this page say which features need the upgrade, and its price, before you pay.
• Updates are released when they are ready. A key is not a promise of any particular update or feature.
• Features that rely on an outside service, such as AI pictures, work while that service is available to us. If it changes, we move to the nearest equivalent or say so.
• The app has a free 3-day trial of everything, with no key and no card, from the first time it opens. When it ends, the app asks for a key before it makes or changes anything; what you made still opens and downloads.
• AI pictures the app makes on your credits here follow the Credits section above.

Every purchase of the Windows app is final: we do not refund it, whether or not the key has been activated. That is what the free trial is for. This does not affect any rights you have under the consumer law where you live.

If a payment for the app is refunded in full, or disputed with your bank or card issuer (a chargeback), the key it bought is withdrawn: it no longer activates, and a PC using it asks for a key the next time it checks in with us, or when its free trial ends if that is still running. Nothing made on that PC is lost - every project still opens and downloads. If the bank decides a dispute in our favour, the key comes back.

What you own

Your artwork and the files you make are yours. We claim no ownership of your prompts, uploads, or the SVGs the studio produces, and you may use them commercially - sell what you cut, without paying us a royalty.

You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store your work, process it, and show it back to you. Pictures generated through an image provider are also subject to that provider’s terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload artwork you have no right to use, or infringe anyone’s copyright.
• Generate material that is illegal, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• Resell or redistribute access to the studio itself.
• Attempt to work around credit limits, or hammer the service in a way that degrades it for others.

We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

Bring your own key

You may supply your own OpenAI API key, in which case pictures are generated on it and no credits are spent on them; builds on Pay as you go still cost credits. You are responsible for what that key is charged, for keeping it within your own limits, and for complying with OpenAI’s terms. We store it encrypted, never show it back to you, and never expose it to your browser. Remove it any time.

The service as it is

We work hard to keep the studio accurate and available, but it is provided as it is. We do not warrant that generated designs will suit any particular purpose, that validation will catch every fabrication problem, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

Check your files before you cut. You are responsible for your own machine, your own material, and your own safety. We are not liable for wasted stock, machine damage, or injury.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close it for breach of these terms, or with 30 days’ notice if we stop offering the service - in which case we refund any unused part of your plan’s current period.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the studio changes. The date at the top says when they last moved, and for anything that affects what you pay or what you are allowed to do we will email you before it takes effect. Carrying on using the studio afterwards is how you accept the new version; if you would rather not, cancel.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

The rest of it

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between us about the studio.
